1.Welcome, Opening Prayer & Worship Activities for Kids
Teacher Welcome Script:
“Good morning, friends! Today we’re going to hear about a man who obeyed God even when nobody else understood what he was doing. Have you ever had to obey even when it felt hard? Today we’ll learn how Noah trusted God step by step—and how we can trust God too!”
Teacher Tip:
Use excitement and wonder while introducing the ark story.
Younger children especially enjoy dramatic storytelling and animal sounds.
Opening Prayer (Repeat After Me):
Dear God,
Thank You for loving me.
Help me obey You.
Help me trust You.
Thank You for taking care of me.
Amen.

2.Noah Builds the Ark Bible Story for Kids (Genesis 6–9)
Long ago, people in the world were making wrong choices and not listening to God.
But there was one man who loved God and obeyed Him.
His name was Noah.
One day, God told Noah to build a giant ark.
An ark was a very big boat.
Now here’s something amazing:
There had never been a giant flood before.
People probably thought Noah looked silly building such a huge boat.
Pause & Ask
Do you think it was easy for Noah to obey?
But Noah trusted God anyway.
Noah obeyed God step by step.
He built the ark, gathered the animals, and brought his family inside.
Then the rain came.
It rained for 40 days and 40 nights!
Rain covered the earth, but Noah and his family were safe inside the ark because Noah obeyed God.
After many days, the rain stopped and the water slowly went down.
Then God placed a beautiful rainbow in the sky.
The rainbow was a special promise from God.
God said the rainbow would remind people that He keeps His promises and that He would never again send a flood to cover the whole earth.
Pause & Ask
Have you ever seen a rainbow in the sky?
Every time Noah saw the rainbow, he could remember:
“God keeps His promises.”
Jesus wants us to trust and obey God too.
Teacher Emphasis
Noah obeyed even when he did not fully understand everything. Obeying God means trusting that God knows what is best.
Pause & Ask
• How do you think Noah felt while building the ark?
• What animal would you want to bring onto the ark?
• What does the rainbow remind us about God?
3.Teaching Children About Obedience and Trusting God
Sometimes obeying is hard.
Maybe:
• your parents ask you to clean your room
• your teacher asks you to listen
• you need to tell the truth after making a mistake
• God asks you to be kind to someone
Sometimes we want to say:
“I don’t want to!”
But Noah teaches us something important:
Obeying God brings blessings.
What Does That Mean?
Obeying God does not mean we always get toys or easy days.
It means:
• God helps us
• God guides us
• God gives us peace
• God protects us
• Our hearts grow closer to Him
• We learn to trust Him more every day
Noah obeyed God, and God protected Noah and his family during the flood.
When we obey God:
• we learn to make good choices
• we become kinder
• we learn to trust God
• we grow stronger in our faith
• we become more like Jesus
Leader Moment
“Every time we choose obedience, we are showing God that we trust Him.”
Real Life Application
Maybe your parents ask you to help clean up, share with a brother or sister, or tell the truth even when it feels scary.
When you choose to obey, you are showing trust in God just like Noah did.
Reflection
Think of one area where obedience feels hard for you.
Question
What is one way you can obey God this week?
Truth
You can trust God and obey Him.
