2. Bible Story for Kids (10 Minutes)
Story Title: The Empty Tomb
After Jesus died, His friends placed His body in a tomb. A large stone was rolled in front of the entrance.
Early on the third day, a woman named Mary Magdalene went to the tomb.
When she arrived, something surprising had happened.
The stone had been rolled away.
Mary looked inside the tomb and saw that Jesus was not there.
She was confused and ran to tell the disciples.
Later, Jesus appeared to Mary. At first she did not recognize Him.
Then Jesus spoke her name.
“Mary.”
When she heard Him say her name, she knew it was Jesus.
Jesus was alive!
Mary ran to tell the disciples the good news.
“I have seen the Lord!”
The resurrection showed that Jesus has power over sin and death.
Jesus is alive today.
The sadness of the cross turned into joy and hope.
Jesus had defeated death.
Because Jesus is alive, we know that God’s power is greater than anything. Jesus brings hope, life, and victory.
3. Heart Connection Teaching (5 Minutes)
The resurrection is the greatest news in the Bible.
Jesus did not stay in the tomb. He rose from the dead.
Because Jesus is alive, we know that His love and power are real.
And because Jesus is alive, we can have hope and trust Him every day.
Sometimes we feel sad or worried. Maybe something didn’t go the way we hoped, or we feel afraid about something.
But the story of the resurrection reminds us of something wonderful.
Even when things seemed hopeless, God had a beautiful plan.
Jesus came back to life, showing that God’s power is stronger than death and stronger than anything we face.
