2. Bible Story for Kids (10 Minutes)
Story Title: Abraham Trusts God With a Big Change
Long ago, there was a man named Abraham. He loved his home. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He had favorite places to walk and favorite people to laugh with.
One day, God said,
“Abraham, I want you to leave your home and go to a new land I will show you.”
Abraham felt surprised.
He felt nervous.
He felt a little scared.
Following God meant leaving behind everything he knew.
Abraham could have said, “No, God. It’s too hard.”
He could have said,
“But God… my mom and dad are here.
My friends are here.
My home is here.
What if I get lonely?
What if I don’t know anyone?”
But instead, Abraham took a deep breath and said,
“Yes, God. I trust You.”
He hugged his family.
He said goodbye to his friends.
He packed his things.
And he followed God step by step.
Every day, God was with him.
God protected him.
God guided him.
God never left him.
Faith Message
Who God Is: A loving Father
What God Does: Guides and protects
Why We Trust Him: He keeps His promises
3. Heart Connection Teaching (5 Minutes)
Let’s sit very quietly for a moment.
Put your hand on your heart.
Feel it beat… thump, thump, thump.
That means God gave you life.
That means God cares about you.
Abraham felt scared when God asked him to leave his home.
Sometimes, you feel scared too.
Maybe you feel scared when:
You start a new school
You sleep in a dark room
Your mom or dad is not nearby
Things change
You don’t know what will happen next
Short Story
One day, a little girl named Sofia had to go to a new class. She didn’t know anyone. She held her backpack tight and felt like crying. That morning, she prayed, “God, please stay with me.” Later that day, she made a new friend. God was with her all along.
Just like Sofia…
Just like Abraham…
God is with you too.
Close your eyes for a moment.
Imagine Jesus sitting right next to you.
He puts His arm around you.
He smiles at you and says,
“I am here. You are safe. I love you.”
You never have to be brave alone.
God helps you be brave.
Reflective Question
“When do you feel a little scared or unsure?”
