Jesus Shows Us How to Love

This Sunday School lesson for kids teaches children how to love others by following Jesus’ example. We can love like Jesus every day.”

Say together: “I can love like Jesus!”

Thank You for loving me.

2. Bible Story (10 minutes)

Bible Story: The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30–37)

Jesus told a story to teach people how to love others.

A man was walking on a road.
He was hurt and needed help.

Some people walked by him.
They saw him, but they did not stop.

Then a Samaritan came.
The Samaritan saw the man and felt sad for him.

He stopped.
He helped him.
He took care of him.

Jesus said this man showed love.

Jesus teaches us that loving others means:

  • Helping people in need

  • Being kind

  • Caring for others, even if they are different

Jesus wants us to love others the way He loves us.

Teacher Prompt:
“Jesus helps us love others.”

4. Craft Activity (8 minutes)

Craft: Footprint Craft – “I Walk in Love Like Jesus”

Purpose

To remind children they can follow Jesus and choose love.

Materials

✂️ Instructions

  1. Give each child a footprint shape.

  2. Write: “I Walk in Love Like Jesus”

  3. Decorate the footprint.

  4. Say together:
    👉 “Jesus helps me love others.”

5. Memory Verse (With Motions) (4 minutes)

Verse: Luke 6:31

“Do to others as you want them to do to you.”

Motions

  • Do – Point forward

  • to others – Point around

  • as you want – Point to self

  • done to you – Hug yourself

6. Weekly Challenge (2 minutes)
