1️. Welcome & Opening Prayer (5 minutes)

Teacher Says:
“Good morning, friends! I’m so happy to see you today. Today we’re learning what to do when we feel scared. Everyone feels afraid sometimes — but God never leaves us. When we feel afraid, God is with us!”

🎵 Opening Song (Choose One)

  • My God Is So Big (with motions)

  • Be Strong and Courageous

  • This Little Light of Mine

(Encourage hand motions — movement helps kids remember truth.)

Opening Prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for loving us and watching over us. When we feel afraid, help us remember You are always with us. Help us trust You today. Amen.”

2️. Bible Story Summary – David and Goliath (8–10 minutes)

God Is Bigger Than Our Fear

There was once a very big giant named Goliath. He was strong, loud, and scary. All the soldiers were afraid — even King Saul!

But there was one young boy named David. David loved God and trusted Him. David knew something important:

👉God was with him.

David didn’t wear heavy armor. He didn’t carry a big sword. He had:

  • A slingshot

  • Five smooth stones

  • Strong trust in God

When David faced Goliath, he trusted God — and God helped him win.

David wasn’t brave because he was strong.

Craft: Trust God Shield (or Slingshot of Faith)

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Color the shield or slingshot.

  2. Write: “When I am afraid, I trust God.”

  3. Decorate it boldly — like something strong!

  4. Remind kids: “This craft helps us remember God protects us.”

Craft Connection:
Just like David trusted God, we can trust God too.

5️. Memory Verse (3 minutes)
