1. Welcome, Opening Prayer & Worship Time

Welcome

Hello, wonderful friends!
I am so glad you came today!
Before we start, I want you to think about this question:
Have you ever helped someone in a small way — like picking up toys, sharing a snack, or giving a hug?

Today, we’re going to learn that even small acts of love are very important to God!
We will hear about something surprising Jesus did to show His love.
Let’s get ready to learn how we can love like Jesus!

Opening Prayer (Repeat After Me)

Dear God,
Thank You for loving me.
Thank You for Jesus.
Help me serve others with love.
Amen.

Worship Songs (with motions)

1. “I’m in the Lord’s Army”
(March in place, salute, point upward)

2. “This Little Light of Mine”
(Shine hands side to side)

2. Bible Story for Kids– Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet

One night, Jesus was with His friends, the disciples.
They had been walking on dusty roads all day.
Their feet were dirty and tired.

In Bible times, servants washed people’s feet.
But Jesus was not a servant — He was their Teacher and Lord!

Jesus stood up.
He poured water into a bowl.
Then He knelt down and began washing His friends’ feet — one by one.

The disciples were surprised.
They said, “Jesus, why are You doing this?”

Jesus smiled and said,
“I am showing you how to love others.”

Jesus wanted them to understand something very important:
Loving others means serving them with kindness — even in small ways.

Jesus showed that God’s love is humble, gentle, and full of care.

3. Discussion & Life Application

What Does This Teach Us About God?

What does Jesus show us about God in this story?
👉 God is loving
👉 God is gentle
👉 God is not too proud to help
👉 God cares about people’s needs

Even though Jesus is powerful, He chose to serve.
That tells us God loves us deeply and wants us to love the same way.

❤️ Trusting God in Everyday Life

Sometimes we think loving others means doing big things…
But Jesus teaches us that small loving actions matter to God.

God helps us love others when:
• We feel tired
• We don’t feel like helping
• Someone is not nice to us

When we ask God for help, He gives us strength to serve with love.

🤔 What Would You Do If…?

What would you do if your friend dropped their crayons?
👉 I can help pick them up.

What would you do if your sibling is sad?
👉 I can give a hug or kind words.

What if someone doesn’t say thank you?
👉 I still help because I love like Jesus.

Faith Prompts

Let’s talk to God quietly in our hearts:
“God, help me love like Jesus today.”

God hears you. He will help you!
