Opening Prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your Son, Jesus. Help us understand why Jesus is the best gift and help us share His love with others. Amen.”

2. BIBLE STORY -THE BEST GIFT EVER GIVEN

Teacher holds up a wrapped gift and says:
“Imagine you got the most amazing present ever — but it didn’t come from a store… it came from GOD!”

THE STORY BEGINS…

A long, long time ago, the whole world was waiting. People felt scared, sad, and lost. They needed hope. They needed a Savior. (they were waiting because a promise was given to then-Israel, God’s people.)

Then one night, something incredible happened.
Not in a palace…
Not in a fancy hospital…
But in a quiet little town called Bethlehem.

Mary and Joseph arrived there after a long, tiring journey. The streets were crowded, animals were everywhere, and all the rooms were full.

“Sorry… no space,” the innkeeper said.

But God had a plan.

Mary and Joseph found a small stable — a place where animals slept. It wasn’t perfect… but it was peaceful.

And in that simple little place…

THE GREATEST GIFT ARRIVES

That night, Baby Jesus was born — the Savior everyone had been waiting for!

There was no crib, so Mary wrapped Him in soft cloth and laid Him gently in a manger filled with hay.

Even though He was tiny, He was the King of Kings, the Light of the World, and God’s gift to us.

A HEAVENLY ANNOUNCEMENT

Meanwhile, shepherds were watching their sheep in a field. It was quiet and dark…

Then suddenly — BOOM!
The sky lit up with a bright, glowing light. The shepherds froze.

An angel stood before them shining like lightning and said:

“Don’t be afraid!
I bring you GOOD NEWS of GREAT JOY for everyone!
A Savior has been born today — Christ the Lord!”

Then the whole sky exploded with angels singing:

“Glory to God in the highest!
Peace on earth!”

Imagine thousands of bright, shimmering angels filling the sky like a giant choir!

The shepherds ran — not walked — to Bethlehem to find the baby. And when they saw Jesus, their hearts filled with joy.

They told everyone they met: “The Savior is here!”

WHY THIS BABY IS THE BEST GIFT

Note for the teacher take shiny paper, ribbon, bows when you are narrating that Jesus didn’t come wrapped…. Showing it makes your class interesting. Show threw your expression how wonderful is the gift of God (JESUS). You can also use Felt Bible Story Set.

Jesus didn’t come wrapped in shiny paper.
He didn’t come with ribbons or bows.

He came wrapped in LOVE.

Jesus came to bring:
Forgiveness
Peace
Hope
Joy
Eternal life
God’s love forever

He is the gift that never breaks, never gets old, and never stops giving.

That’s why Jesus is the BEST gift ever.
